SAGO OOTHAPAM

INGREDIENTS:-
  1. Sago                       2 cups
  2. Dosa batter            4 cups
  3. Salt                        1 tsp
  4. Water                     3 cups
  5. Onion                     2 nos
  6. Carrot                    2 nos
  7. Green chilies          4
  8. Curry leaves           few
  9. Coriander leaves    handful
FOR SEASONING:-
  1. Oil                          2 tbsp
  2. Mustard seeds         1 tsp
  3. Urad dhal                1 tsp
  4. Bengal gram dhal    2 tsp
METHOD:-
  • Wash and soak sago in 2 cups of water for 2 hours.
  • Julienne onion, curry leaves, green chilies, and coriander leaves, scrape carrot.
  • Mix dosa batter with sago, add salt, and 1 cup water.
  • Heat oil in a pan add seasoning, splutter mustard, fry urad, and Bengal gram dhal.
  • Add onion, curry leaves, chilies, and fry for a minute.
  • Cool down for 2 minutes and add to the batter and mix well.
  • Heat dosa tawa, pour a ladleful of batter, add oil or ghee for roasting.
  • Fry on both sides, serve hot with any chutney, it tastes good.
