Onion Pakoda

Ingredients

  1. Bengal gram flour       1 cup
  2. Rice flour                    1/2 cup
  3. Cornflour                    2 tbsp
  4. Chilly powder             1 tsp
  5. Salt                              1 tsp
  6. Soda                            a pinch
  7. Water                          2 or 3 tbsp
  8. Onion                          3 sliced
  9. Green chilies              6 cut into small pieces
  10. Curry leaves               few cut into pieces
  11. Oil                               for frying
Method
  • In a bowl add all the flours, salt, chilly powder,
  • Heat oil and add 1 tbsp of oil to the flour.
  • Mix well and sprinkle water with soda.
  • Add onion, chilies, curry leaves.
  • It should be a thick paste.
  • Take a handful of dough and put little by little into the hot oil.
  • Deep fry till crisp on medium flame.
  • Serve hot with chutney, sauce.
