Ingredients
For seasoning
- Grated coconut [optional]
- Onion 2 sliced
- Green chilis 6 slit
- Mustard seeds 1 tsp
- Urad dhal 1 tsp
- Bengal gram dhal 1 tsp
- Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves few
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
Method
- Wash flaked rice 3 or 4 times.
- Add salt, turmeric, water, and soak for 1 hour.
- Heat oil add seasoning, curry leaves, Asafoetida and chilis.
- Fry for a while and add onion till translucent.
- Now add flaked rice, coconut, and mix well.
- Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve with curd.
