BREAD UPMA

INGREDIENTS:-

  1. Bread slices                    10
  2. Onion                             1 big
  3. Tomato                           1 big
  4. Carrot                             2
  5. Green chilies                  5
  6. Curry leaves                   few
  7. Coriander leaves            handful
  8. Mint leaves                    handful
  9. Ginger-Garlic paste       1 tsp
  10. Turmeric                        1/2 tsp
  11. Oil                                  3 tbsp
  12. Salt                                1 tsp
  13. Water                             1/4 cup
  14. Garam masala                1 tsp
  15. Cumin powder               1 tsp
METHOD:-
  • Heat tawa, and toast the bread lightly on both sides. Mix salt with water.
  • Cool and cut into small cubes and sprinkle the salted water, and mix.
  • Cut onion, tomato, chilies, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and mint leaves, grate carrot.
  •  Heat oil in a Kadai, add onion, chilies, fry for a minute.
  • Add tomatoes and fry, add cumin powder, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste.
  • Add carrot, curry leaves and close the lid and cook on a low heat for 2 minutes.
  • Open and add garam masala, bread, and fry for a minute.
  • Garnish with mint and coriander leaves, mix and close the lid for 2 minutes.
  • Serve with groundnut chutney, tomato sauce
