Lemon Semia

Ingredient

  1. Boiled Semia                2 cups
  2. Onion                            1 big
  3. Green  chilies                5
  4. Salt                               1 1/2 tsp
  5. Turmeric                       1/2 tsp
  6. Lemon                           1
  7. Coriander leaves           handful
For Seasoning
  1. Mustard seeds              1/2 tsp\
  2.  Urad dal                       1/2 tsp
  3. Bengal Gram dal          1 tsp
  4. Oil                                1 tbsp
  5. Curry leaves                 few
  6. Asafoetida                    1/4 tsp[hing]
Method
  • Mix salt and lemon to the boiled semia and keep it aside.
  • Cut onion, coriander leaves, slit green chilies.
  • Heat oil in a Kadai add seasoning, let mustard seeds splutter.
  • Add onion, curry leaves, green chilies and fry for 3 minutes.
  • Fry onion till light brown, add turmeric and hing.
  • Add semia mix well and fry on high heat for 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve with red chutney and omelet.
