Broccoli Fry

Ingredients

  1. Broccoli                  1 
  2. Onion                      1
  3. Salt                          1/2 tsp
  4. Red chilies              5
  5. Water                      1/2 cup
For Grinding
  1. Onion                  1/2   
  2. Ginger                 1/2"
  3. Garlic                  5
For Seasoning
  1. Oil                       1 tbsp
  2. Mustard seeds    1/2 tsp
  3. Urad dal              1/2 tsp
  4. Bengal gram        1/2 tsp
  5. Curry leaves        few
Method
  • Cut Broccoli into flowerets, soak them in salt water for 1 hour.
  • Chop onion and coriander leaves. Break chilies into two.
  • Grind the ingredients to a smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a Kadai, add mustard seeds, and splutter.
  • Add dal, curry leaves, red chilies, and fry.
  • Add onion and fry for 2 minutes and add the ground masala.
  • Fry for 2 minutes and add salt and fry until it dries up.
  • Keep the flame low and add broccoli and mix well.
  • Add water and stir, cook for 5 minutes.
  • Cook on high heat until it dries up.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
