Egg Gullittu[ paniyaram, paddu]

Ingredients

  1. Idly batter                1 cup
  2. Eggs                         2 nos
  3. Onion                       1 chopped
  4. Green chilies            2 chopped
  5. Coriander leaves      little chopped
  6. Curry leaves            few cut
  7. Salt                          1 tsp
  8. Water                       1/4 cup
For seasoning

  1. Mustard seeds           1 tsp
  2. Cumin                       1/2 tsp
  3. Urad dal                    1/2 tsp
  4. Bengal gram             1 tsp
  5. Asafoetida                1/4 tsp 
  6. Oil                            1 tbsp
Method
  • Beat eggs and add to the batter and stir well.
  • Heat oil in a Kadai splutter mustard seeds, add urad, cumin, and bengal gram.
  • Fry adding onion, curry leaves for 2 or 3 minutes.
  • Cooldown and add it to the batter.
  • Heat gullittu maker rub oil and pour half ladleful batter to each.
  • Turn over when it is half cooked so it stays in round shape.
  • Roast both sides until crisp.
  • Serve with coriander chutney.
