- Bread 4 slice
- Wheat flour 1 cup
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Water 1 cup
- Onion 1 chopped
- Green chilies 4 chopped
- Curry leaves 3 chopped
- Coriander leaves little chopped
For seasoning
- Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal 1/2 tsp
- Bengal gram 1/2 tsp
- Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
- Oil 1 tbsp + for roasting
Method
- Mix wheat flour, salt, and water to a smooth paste without lumps.
- Add water if necessary. Heat oil in a Kadai, add seasoning.
- Splutter mustard and add urad, bengal gram dal.
- Add onion, chilies, curry leaves and fry for 2 minutes.
- Add the fried onion mixer to the wheat flour.
- Mix them well and heat away. Grease some oil.
- Cut the bread slice into 2 parts.
- Dip the cut bread in batter on both sides and place on the hot tawa.
- Roast on both sides until crisp.
- Serve with chutney, ketchup.
