Rawa idly[semolina]

Ingredients

  1. Rawa                                  1 cup
  2. Sour curd                            2 cups
  3. Salt                                     1 tsp
  4. Baking soda                       a pinch
  5. Turmeric                            1/4 tsp
For seasoning
  1. Oil                               1 tbsp
  2. Mustard seeds             1 tsp
  3. Urad dhal                    1 tsp
  4. Bengal gram                1 tsp
  5. Green chilly                 1 chopped
  6. Curry leaves                 3 chopped
  7. Coriander leaves          little chopped

Method

  • Heat oil add mustard seeds and splutter.
  • Add all the seasoning ingredients and fry.
  • After that add rawa and fry till it turns to white in color.
  • Now add turmeric and mix well.
  • Cool and mix in curd and soda.
  • Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  • Steam for 15 minutes.
  • Serve hot with chutney and potato sambar.
