Ingredients
- Onion 1 chopped
- Curry leaves 1 cup
- Garlic 5 flakes
- Ginger 1/2"
- Jeera 1 tsp
- Coriander seeds 1 tsp
- Bengal gram dhal 1 tbsp
- Coconut 1/2 cup
- Red chilies 5 nos
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Oil 2 tsp+ 1 tbsp
For seasoning
- Mustard seeds 1 tsp
- Urad dal 1/2 tsp
- Bengal gram 1 tsp
- Curry leaves few
- Asafoetida 1/4 tsp
- Oil 2 tsp
Method
- Heat 2 tsp oil and fry all the ingredients.
- Cool and grind to a smooth paste.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil add the ground paste and cook for 5 minutes.
- Transfer to another container and heat 2 tsp of oil.
- Add the seasoning, curry leaves, asafoetida, and mix.
- Serve with idly, onion dosa
