Methi leaves dhal poruppu
Ingredients
- Tur dhal 1 cup
- Fenugreek leaves 2 cups
- Ginger 1"
- Garlic 6
- Castor oil 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric 1/2 tsp
- Jeera seeds 1 tsp
- Coriander seeds 1 tsp
- Small onion 10
- Green chilies 10
- Water 2 cups
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Badaga [optional]
- Salt 2 tsp
Method
- Boil water in a pressure cooker and add dhal, turmeric, castor oil.
- To that add fenugreek leaves, onion, chilies, ginger, and garlic.
- Cook for 2 whistles.
- Heat oil fry Badaga, jeera and coriander seeds.
- Cool and add to the dhal and mash or grind for a minute.
- Serve with ghee, rice, and ragi mudde.
Such a droolworthy and healthy paruppu, cant ask more..
