Uddina vada

Ingredients
  1. Urad dhal               -1 cup
  2. Green chilly           -2 nos
  3. Onion                     -1 big chopped
  4. Bengal gram          -1 tsp
  5. Idly rice                -1 tsp
  6. Curry leaves          -4
  7. Coriander leaves   -handful
  8. Pepper powder     -1/4 tsp
  9. Salt                       -11/2 tsp
  10. Oil                        -for frying
Method
  • Soak urad dhal, Bengal gram, rice for 2 hours.
  • Chop onion, green chilies, curry leaves, coriander leaves.
  • Grind urad dal to a smooth paste add salt.
  • Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Add chopped ingredients mix well.
  • Heat oil and take 1 spoonful of mix.
  • On left-hand palm take a plastic sheet.
  • Spread urad dhal mix and make a hole in the middle.
  • Fry one by one till it turns golden brown.             
  • Serve with sambar or chutney.
